Genelia has big hope on Dhanush or Uthamaputhiran?

Genelia is all set to make a comeback in the Tamil film industry with the movie Uthamaputhiran. Even Genelia DSouza has acted in a very few Tamil movies, she has essayed powerful roles and played the girl next door in “Boys” and “Santosh Subramaniam”. This time she is all set to star opposite the dashing Dhanush in the movie Uthamaputhiran.

The movie is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Ready. Genelia starred in the Telugu version as well. The movie is directed by Mithran Jawahar. Genelia is returning to Tamil films after almost 2 years but that has not lessened her excitement or dedication to the industry. She claims that she is extremely excited to act in a Tamil movie after so long especially a special project like Uthamaputhiran.

She says that she bonded extremely well with her co-star Dhanush and that she had a blast shooting the movie. She is extremely thankful to her director Mithran Jawahar and thanked him for the golden opportunity to act in such a top class movie. Genelia essays the role of an NRI girl called Pooja in the movie. She plays the girl next door and she claims that her role has been tweaked in order to suit Tamil film audiences. She is also excited to meet the comedian Vivek. Vivek also played a major role in her movie Boys. After Boys, she says that this is the first time she is getting to meet the funny comedian. She looks at Vivek not just as a comedian but also as a great actor from whom she can gain a lot of knowledge.

Vijay Antony has given music for the film and Genelia is raving about the freshness of the music as well. Does Genelia have sleepless nights before the release of her film?

Genelia laughs it off by saying that she is more excited than nervous about Uthamaputhiran. The movie raked in the moolah with the Telugu audiences. Here is hoping that the film is a blockbuster with the Tamil movie goers as well.
