Hyper-Realistic Acrylic Body Painting

We’ve already wrote about Alexa Meade here.
Meade masterfully mixed multiple disciples – paintings, performance, and photography and turned it into something the world had never seen. Coating her models with paint, she made her models become part of a living, breathing painting. In her words, “The photographic presentations create a tension between the smoothness of the physical photographs and the tactility of the painted installations captured within them, blurring the lines between what is depicted and depiction itself.”

While looking at her recent body of work, you can’t help but notice how she’s taking her Trompe-L’Oeil painting technique to new heights, adding incredibly vibrant colors and patterns that warp our minds and sense of reality even more.

She recently set off to London to paint an installation at the Saatchi Gallery. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us!
