Current Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete decided to break out some of the good stuff that won her the crown in this month’s GQ Mexico. Now for some background on our universe’s representative: Ximena’s real name is Jimena, but she prefers to use an X instead of a J, because, well, she likes X better .
Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete won the Miss Universe 2010 title becoming the 59th winner of the crown in the pageant held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Jimena Navarrete is Mexico’s second Miss Universe; Lupita Jones of Mexico won the title in 1991.
Navarrete was asked by Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek about her opinion on monitoring children’s use of the Internet.
Her Answer:
“I do believe that Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time,” she said through an interpreter. “We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family.”
