Sex is a big deal even today in Bollywood, where the censors snip out any scene with the slightest hint of erotica. However, every once in a while, the odd raunchy scene somehow gets the approval of the powers that be. Thank God for that! Some of these scenes complement the plot of the movie, but most of them just make a trite film more exciting with a little skin show. While these scenes are not as bold as some of Hollywood's sexploits, they still are way ahead of their times in an industry still trying to find the middle ground between modernization and archaic values.
Bipasha Basu and John Abraham in Jism
Bipahsa and John brought their off screen chemistry to the big screen in this 2003 film. A few well-shot seductive scenes make this movie watchable. Of course, if you are looking for a complete strip show, you'll be disappointed. The closest thing to sex is John Abraham rubbing ice on Bipasha's half exposed body.
Amitra Arora and Isha Koppikar in Girlfriend
For the first time, hot lesbians make an appearance in commercial Hindi cinema. There are a few scenes (again, no nudity) in whichthese two lovely ladies stroke each other's skin and gently huff and puff. Oh, and they also kiss under the sheets in a love-making scene that doesn't leave much to the imagination, but still begs for concrete imagery. It's a shame the movie's plot made "Blue" look like a Scorsese film. Yup, that bad. Still, Bollywood and hot lesbians is a great combination, and we hope there's more of it to come in the future!

We all know this movie because of its famous poster that featured a topless Neha Dhupia. Just in case you couldn't tell from that, let us have you know that there were quite a few provocative scenes in the movie as well. But the one that sticks out is the one in which Neha Dhupia and Yash Tonk go for a literal roll in the hay. She is covered in nothing but dried grass while panting and being kissed. When it comes to sex scenes, this is Bollywood gold!
Madhuri Dixit and Vinod Khanna in Dayawan
A very young Madhuri Dixit locks lips among other things with a much older Vinod Khanna in a saucy scene for the ages. Considering it was 1988 and sex was a huge deal, this was a very bold move. As is the case with most of these scenes, you have to let your imagination run a little wild seeing as how there's a limited skin show and abrupt cuts. Still, we like what we see and give it a thumbs up!
Deepa Sahi and Shahrukh Khan in Maya Memsaab
This is as close as it gets to simulating sex in bollywood. Deepa Sahi and Shahrukh Khan almost in the nude, rolling on top of each other under a red glow and passion ensues. You can also see some side **** - a rarity in Bollywood sex scenes. This off-beat film with a great narrative was as talked about for this saucy sceneas it was for its great plot
